No. BatteryBud needs a license to run, and this page shows what it does. If it doesn't work on your Mac, email us within 14 days. We'll fix it or refund you.

Connect it to your Mac with a cable once, tap Trust, and turn on "Show this iPhone when on Wi-Fi" in Finder. After that you don't need the cable. A locked iPhone that isn't charging can drop off Wi-Fi, and BatteryBud then shows the last level and when it last saw the device.

BatteryBud keeps working. Every version released during your year is yours to use for good. If you want newer versions, a renewal adds another year for $9, or the price in your currency. It starts when your current year ends, so renewing early costs you nothing.
