Terms

The agreement between you and us, in plain words.

Last updated October 2, 2026

1. Who we are

BatteryBud is made by Climactic Infotech Private Limited, a company registered in India (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you download, buy or use BatteryBud, or use batterybud.app. If you do not agree with them, do not use BatteryBud.

2. Your license

When you buy BatteryBud, we give you a license to use it. The license:

BatteryBud needs a license key to run. It checks the key with Polar when it starts and one time each day. It continues to work when your Mac is offline.

3. Updates and renewals

Your license includes each version that we release in the year after your purchase. After that year, your versions continue to work. If you want later versions, you can buy an updates renewal for $9, which adds one year. The added year starts when your current updates end. A renewal is never automatic, and we do not charge you again unless you buy one.

Earlier versions stay available on the download page.

4. Payment

Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”) sells BatteryBud as the merchant of record. Polar takes your payment, adds the tax that applies in your country, and sends your receipt and license key. Polar’s terms and privacy policy apply to the payment. Prices can change, but a change does not affect a purchase that you already made.

5. Refunds

If BatteryBud doesn't work on your Mac, email us within 14 days. We'll fix it or refund you in full. We don't usually refund a purchase that is no longer needed. See the refund policy.

6. What you must not do

If you do these things, we can disable your license key.

7. How BatteryBud reads your devices

BatteryBud reads battery data with interfaces of macOS, iOS and Bluetooth. Apple can change these interfaces. A change can stop a function until we release an update, and in rare cases a function cannot come back. BatteryBud is not made or approved by Apple.

8. No warranty

We supply BatteryBud “as is”. As far as the law permits, we give no warranty that it has no errors, that it always operates, or that each level and alert is correct. Do not use BatteryBud as the only protection for a device that must not lose power.

9. Limit of liability

As far as the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profit. Our total liability to you is not more than the amount that you paid for BatteryBud. These terms do not remove rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer.

10. Privacy

The privacy policy tells you what BatteryBud and this website send and store.

11. Changes and law

We can change these terms. The date at the top shows the last change. If a change is important, we tell you on this website or in the app. The laws of India govern these terms, and its courts decide disputes, unless the consumer law of your country says otherwise.
