Your battery data stays on your Macs.

Last updated October 2, 2026

Who we are

BatteryBud is made by Climactic Infotech Private Limited, a company registered in India. We are responsible for the data that this page describes. For questions, write to [email protected].

What stays on your Mac

Battery levels, charging history and health are stored only on your Mac. If you turn on Other Macs, your Macs share them directly over your local network, encrypted with your sync code. None of it is sent to us.

What goes over the internet

Anonymous usage data

It is on by default, and nothing is sent until you finish the welcome window. Turn it off at any time with “Share anonymous usage data” in Settings → General. It stops at once, and BatteryBud deletes what it hasn't sent and the random ID below.

Each report has a random ID made on your Mac (not linked to you or your license), the BatteryBud and macOS versions, and these events:

When you buy

Polar Software, Inc. sells BatteryBud as the merchant of record. Polar collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details, and its privacy policy applies to them. We never see your card number. From Polar we get your name, email address, country, order and license status, which we use to give you your license, support and refunds.

When you write to us

We keep your email and our answer for as long as it is necessary to help you, and we use them for nothing else.

This website

batterybud.app uses Google Analytics and Umami to count visits to its pages, and Polar to process purchases. This is separate from the app. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. Umami sets no cookies. For some visits, Umami also records how the page is used (clicks, scrolling and pointer movement) so that we can find problems with the pages. Text that you type into a field is not recorded. We keep these recordings for 30 days. After a purchase, the website records the amount and currency of the order for these two services, without your name or email address.

How long we keep data

When the app starts to send something new, we change this page first. The date at the top shows the last change.
